Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age! Our adult patients especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. In fact, one of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21! You're not alone. Because your jaw is no longer growing, some orthodontic treatments may take more time or different handling than treatments for children. Sometimes surgery may be needed, and we always do what we can to make this a brief and comfortable process. Some adults may have experienced some breakdown or loss of their teeth and bone that supports the teeth. If this describes you, you may require periodontal treatment before, during, and/or after orthodontic treatment. We always work together with your periodontist to make sure your treatment is tailored to your needs.
